Terms of use
Last updated: November 2026
These terms explain the rules for using AskMrTom.ng ("Ask Mr. Tom", "we", "us"). By using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What we do
Ask Mr. Tom shares news, updates, explainers, opportunities and tips on money, tech, business, health and mindset, mainly for Nigerian youths. Our content is for general information and education only.
2. Not professional advice
- Money: nothing here is financial or investment advice. Prices, rates and figures change quickly. Do your own research and speak to a qualified professional before making money decisions.
- Health: our health tips are general. They don't replace a doctor. If you have a health concern, see a qualified health worker. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.
- Legal: nothing here is legal advice. For your own situation, speak to a lawyer.
- Mindset and faith: motivational, psychological and scriptural content is shared for encouragement and growth. It isn't therapy or counselling. If you're struggling, please reach out to a trusted person or a professional.
You're responsible for the decisions you make. We aren't liable for any loss or harm that comes from acting on information on this site.
3. Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to check facts and list our sources, but we can make mistakes, and information can change after we publish. If you spot an error, tell us on WhatsApp and we'll review it and correct it where needed.
4. Opportunities
We share jobs, scholarships, grants, programmes and other opportunities in good faith. We don't run them, choose who gets them, or guarantee that they're still open.
- Always apply through the official website or channel.
- Never pay anyone to apply for a job, scholarship or grant.
- Ask Mr. Tom will never ask you for money, your BVN, NIN, PIN, password or bank details in exchange for an opportunity. Anyone who does is not us.
5. Sponsored content and ads
Some posts and shoutouts are sponsored. We always label them clearly as "Sponsored". A sponsorship isn't an endorsement or guarantee of the sponsor's products or services. Please check any business for yourself before you buy from it or work with it.
We also show ads from Google AdSense. We don't control which ads appear. See our privacy policy for how ads use cookies.
6. Links to other websites
Our posts link to sources, official sites and other websites. We aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, safety or privacy practices.
7. Questions you send us
When you send us a question on WhatsApp or elsewhere, you agree that we may answer it publicly in a post, video or Daily Brief. We won't publish your name, number or private details without your permission. Please don't send us anything you want kept completely private.
8. Our content
The articles, graphics, logo and videos on this site belong to Ask Mr. Tom unless stated otherwise.
